Alvin's Cables NP-F970 Power Adapter For BMPCC 4K/6K - DC 12V Power Supply With Hot Shoe Mount

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera owners, listen up - if you're tired of swapping batteries during important shoots, this Alvin's Cables power adapter is your solution. It lets you power your BMPCC 4K or 6K directly from a Sony NP-F series battery (those big rectangular ones that last forever). The setup includes the battery plate with a 1/4 inch screw and hot shoe mount, so you can securely attach it to your camera or cage. You get two different output cables - one specifically for your Blackmagic camera that plugs into the DC 12V port, and another DC cable for powering other gear like monitors or LED lights. The battery plate itself has two output ports: 8V and 12V, so you can run multiple devices simultaneously (just make sure whatever you plug in matches the voltage rating). There's even a power switch for safety, which you should use if things start getting too warm. The cables are a minimum of 12 inches long, giving you some flexibility in positioning the battery. Alvin's Cables tests every unit before shipping to ensure no short circuits or potential failures, which is reassuring when you're trusting expensive camera equipment to third-party power solutions. The build quality feels professional - good connectors, sturdy housing, and proper strain relief. Whether you're shooting documentaries, interviews, or narrative work where you can't afford downtime, this power solution extends your shooting time dramatically. It's way more reliable than trying to juggle multiple small batteries, and the NP-F970 batteries are widely available and relatively affordable. For serious filmmakers using the Pocket Cinema Cameras, this is one of those essential accessories that should be in every kit.
