JR Products Gas Spring - 30 Lb Force, 17" Extended Length With Plastic Socket Ends

If you've got cabinets, lids, or hatches that need a little help staying open, this JR Products gas spring is exactly what you're looking for. With 30 pounds of lifting force, it can handle a decent amount of weight while providing smooth, controlled motion.

The specs are pretty straightforward - it extends to 17 inches fully open and compresses down to about 10.25 inches when closed. The 6.75-inch stroke gives you plenty of range for most applications.

Built with a black nitride shaft that resists corrosion and wear, this gas spring is designed to last through thousands of open/close cycles without losing its pressure or performance.

The plastic socket type ends make installation relatively simple for most DIY applications. Whether you're replacing worn-out struts on RV cabinets, boat hatches, or furniture lids, this gas spring delivers reliable performance.

The 30-pound force is that sweet spot for medium-duty applications - strong enough to hold up heavier lids but not so powerful that it's difficult to close. It provides that perfect balanced feel when opening and closing.

Gas springs eventually lose their pressure over time, especially with frequent use or exposure to temperature extremes. If your lids are starting to sag or not staying open like they used to, this replacement will restore that smooth, reliable operation.

Perfect for marine applications, RV interiors, automotive uses, or any situation where you need controlled lifting assistance. Just make sure to measure your existing struts and compare specifications to ensure proper fit and function.

When installed correctly, these gas springs make using your cabinets and hatches so much more pleasant - no more propping things open or worrying about lids slamming shut unexpectedly!
