If your Chevy or Pontiac is leaking coolant from the thermostat housing (a common issue on these models), this upgraded aluminum replacement is a smart fix. It replaces the plastic OEM housing that can crack over time. This one is made from aluminum, which handles heat and pressure much better, reducing the chance of future leaks or cracks. It comes as a complete assembly, often including the thermostat itself (opens at 203°F / 95°C) and the coolant temperature sensor(s). It's a direct replacement for a bunch of OEM part numbers like 902-821, 96984104, 55564891, etc. Fits specific years of the Chevrolet Aveo, Cruze (1.8L), Sonic, Trax, and Pontiac G3. IMPORTANT: Check the exact fitment list for your car's year, make, model, and engine before ordering! Installation is fairly straightforward for a DIYer with some mechanical skill, but you'll need to drain and refill coolant. A great upgrade for long-term reliability and to avoid being stranded by a coolant leak.
